Trail Riding: The Best Adventure

There are many ways to enjoy the wilderness in Montana: hiking, canoeing, kayaking, four-wheeling, skiing, and snowmobiling. But for getting out to see the most remote areas of Montana, trail riding on horseback can’t be beat.

Only hiking and horseback riding is allowed on trails in designated Wilderness Areas, and they’re also the best ways to see most of the available trails on Forest Service, Tribal, and State land.
